Acupuncture for dogs and cats
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that uses a fine sterile needle inserted into specific locations on the body, to help heal and release stagnant energy flow.
Veterinary acupuncture is used to stimulate the animal's nervous, immune, hormonal and muscular systems to aid the body’s response to healing. The acupuncture treatment is painless and your dog or cat should tolerate it very well and find it relaxing.
Acupuncture can help in:
-
Acute musculoskeletal injuries
-
Post-surgical rehabilitation
-
Chronic pain from arthritis or injury
-
Spinal and lameness issues
-
Re-balancing organ functions
Laser Acupuncture
Laser acupuncture uses a medical grade IV laser instead of a needle as in traditional acupuncture. The light energy from the laser enters the damaged cells and stimulates healing.
It has the ability to reduce pain and inflammation and when used in conjunction with our other rehabilitation services, the animal’s recovery time is shortened.
